i really had a hard time in deciding what to post and write especially when i got dilemmas over having a bad reputation in leadership. i am perfectionist and impatient in some ways. i’ve been trying to overcome this for years but i still haven’t succeeded.
leadership is the social influence for which a person can show and motivate a group of people toward a common goal. if you have the desire, will and the power in aiming this certain goal, probably you are showing a strong leadership and you are to be called effective leader.
Is a leader born or made? they say, “Good leaders are made not born.” but there are certain things you must know for this do not come naturally. through continuous work, study and concentration on the improvement of particular leadership skills, people can learn to become leaders. with trust, confidence and effective communication, there will be an effective leader.
is there such thing as dark side of leadership? i’m not saying there is a bad side or bad thing in leadership. needless to say, there are these tyrants and bullies around. some say, potential tyrants and bullies have these following traits: impatience, arrogance, perfectionism, defensiveness, rigidity, bluntness, a large capacity for holding grudges, compulsive, narcissistic, paranoid, codependent and passive-aggressive traits. they are superficial and manipulative in a way. and this gives the leadership a dark side.
